Six people died and 14 others suffered injuries in a road accidentMADURAI: Six people died and 14 others suffered injuries in a road accident involving two Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) buses and a van at Gangaikondan in Tirunelveli district in the early hours of Sunday.
Police said all the three vehicles had been moving in the same direction, from Madurai to Tirunelveli. A bus hit the rear side of another bus moving in front of it, and a van hit the bus that was in the middle.

The accident happened around 5.15am.
Four passengers died on the spot. Other injured people were sent to Tirunelveli Government Medical College and Hospital in Palayamkottai, where two of them died.
