For the Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the key to winning the upcoming Lok Sabha elections lies in booths. Following the party high command's mantra 'Booth Jeeta Toh Chunaav Jeeta' (You win elections if you conquer booth), the local wing is organising Booth Sammelan programme at the Indira Gandhi Stadium on Sunday where party president Amit Shah will address thousands of booth workers about "vijay lakshya".

Presidents of all booths in the capital are expected to participate in the event which will be attended by party top brass, including national general secretary (organisational) Ramlal, national vice-president Shyam Jaju, national secretary Tarun Chugh, ministers Vijay Goel and Dr Harshvardhan, Delhi party president Manoj Tiwari, etc.

Ashok Goel, media in-charge, Delhi BJP, said, "The party chief will boost their morale to achieve the goal of bringing Prime Minister Narendra Modi back the second time round," he said.

The main objective of the event is to strengthen the booths. "Each booth has at least 1,200 votes on average, of which some are staunch loyalists. Booth presidents will identify such people, bring them into the party fold so that they spread the message of our 'vijay lakshya' to remaining voters. The door-to-door campaign launched by the pramukhs will also inform people about different welfare schemes of the government," Goel said, adding that Shah will address the booth in-charges about the party's vision. "The leadership will also involve them in strategising votes on the basis of region, caste, etc, so that our goal of clear majority is met," he said.
