A man has been charged over a fatal crash that killed a woman.

The 20-year-old from Pwllheli was arrested following the tragic collision on the A499 near Penrhos on Friday December 21.

Police said a 34-year-old woman from Gwynedd was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man will appear at Llandudno Magistrates Court tomorrow (December 24) charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving while over the prescribed limit of alcohol, failing to stop following an accident and failing to report an accident.

He has been remanded into police custody.

Today, flowers have been left at the spot where the collision, which involved a blue Ford Focus, a black Volkwagen Gold and a black Audi Q3, took place.

Police family liaison officers are supporting the woman's family following her death.
