India saw 300% jump in narcotic drugs seizure

According to a report, India saw 300% jump in seizure of drugs like cocaine, heroin and cannabis in the country in the last five years in the year 2017. The report states that Delhi NCR witnessed the highest seizure of cocaine (30 kg) followed by Maharashtra at 21.83 kg. Another report in 2015 says 56% of Punjab’s drug addicts are from villages, 89% of drug addicts are educated and literate in Punjab and 83% of drug addicts in Punjab have jobs.
