1 killed in Bharat-Nepal Maitri bus accident
TNN | Dec 23, 2018, 06:07 ISTAGRA: In the first fog-related accident this winter on Yamuna expressway in Agra district, a Nepalese citizen was killed and 12 were injured when the Bharat-Nepal Maitri bus ferrying them collided with a truck head-on on Saturday . The Met office has forecast more fog over the next few days.
The accident occurred around 6.30 am near Etmadpur-Khandauli border, when the Delhi-bound Pokhara-Anand Vihar bus collided with a truck coming from wrong direction. At least eight passengers were admitted to a private hospital near National Highway 2. The rest of the passengers were provided another bus to continue their journey to Delhi.
According to police, bus driver Gopal Bahadur Thakuri, a resident of Palungtar, Gorkha district of Nepal, was killed in the accident.
