24-year-old arrested for stalking minor in Delhi

Picture for representation purpose onlyNEW DELHI: A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing and stalking a minor girl in central Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area on Sunday evening.
DCP (New Delhi) Madhur Verma said that the accused, Akhand Pratap Singh, has been arrested for stalking and under sections of the POCSO act.
A preliminary probe has revealed that Singh had been harassing the 13-year-old girl for some time and use to follow her on his motorcycle and pass vulgar comments at her. Tired of this daily harassment, the girl narrated her ordeal to her parents following which they informed the police.
A team went to the area and nabbed the accused. He will be produced before a magistrate and then sent to judicial custody.
