BJP MP opens Ranchi e-toilet by answering nature's call
Prabhash C Jha | TNN | Dec 23, 2018, 03:02 ISTRANCHI: BJP's Ranchi MP Ram Tahal Chaudhary on Saturday inaugurated an e-toilet complex at the Ranchi railway station by becoming the first person to use it. E-toilets are unmanned self-cleaning washrooms that work on a sensor-based technology and help conserve water. The user has to insert a coin to open the door.
At an event attended by railway officials and media persons, Chaudhary, who was the chief guest on the occasion, cut a ribbon to open the complex, and dropped a Rs 5 coin in the machine before he used the e-toilet himself. Chaudhary congratulated the railway officials for their initiative to open the e-toilet under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Mission, which aims to eradicate open-defection.
