Hyderabad: Four dead due to suffocation in Shamirpet

HYDERABAD: Four persons working in a poultry farm at Shamirpet were found dead in their room on Friday. Since the weather has been very chilly, they burnt woods in their room before sleeping and died of suffocation.

The deceased were identified as Shivashankar(22), Mahesh (22), Mahendar Reddy (28) and Aravindh (24), all natives of Torrur Mandal of Mahabubabad district and workers at KGL Poultry Farms in Bommaraspet.


According to police, Kranthi and Aravindh took the farm on a lease at Bomraspet one month ago and were maintaining around 14000 chicken there.


"Last night, Kranth along with their supervisor, Satish and the deceased victims vaccinated the chicken till night 1 am, after which Kranthi and Satish left and rest of them went to sleep, including Aravindh," said Shamirpet inspector, Naveen.


In the morning, when Satish came back to the room and found four of them dead. "As the weather was cold, the four workers collected some wood and lit a fire inside the room," said the inspector. Police suspect all four must have died due to suffocation.
