DARTMOUTH — Two Fall River men are facing drug charges after being arrested by police in this town in separate instances this week.

As the result of an investigation, members of the Dartmouth Police Department Detective Division on Tuesday arrested Cary Pacheco, Jr., 22, of Fall River on numerous narcotics charges, police said.

As a result of the arrest, detectives seized approximately 30 grams of fentanyl with a street value estimated at $7,500, as well as $2,113 in cash, according to a police news release. Pacheco was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, three counts of distributing fentanyl, and three counts of conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Dartmouth detectives were assisted by members of the Bristol County Sheriff’s Department Warrant Apprehension Unit, police said.

On Thursday, police arrested Blake Donovan, 24, of Fall River, on a charge of possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance after seizing 133 bags of suspected Fentanyl, as well as $200.

Police said Donovan had also been arrested earlier in the week in connection with a narcotics investigation.

“This arrest is yet another outstanding example of this agency’s commitment of ridding the streets of these dangerous drug dealers,” Chief Brian Levesque said in a statement.
