In a statement, party president M K Stalin said the CBI, after arresting some people who had allegedly given money to state health minister C Vijaya Baskar and director general of police T K Rajendran, had failed to act against these two.
Governor Banwarilal Purohit should immediately dismiss the health minister and take action against the DGP, he said.
"The minister had been questioned for several hours for two days. Earlier, the residences of the minister and the DGP were searched. This probe was ordered by the Supreme Court based on a case filed by the DMK. The party will once again go to the Supreme Court on the issue if no action is taken against those accused," said Stalin.
