Saint-Germain on Thursday announced that international has signed a four-year contract extension, tying him to the club until June 2023.

Born in Paris, Areola arrived at the club's academy in 2006 before rising through the ranks of PSG's youth system. He signed his first professional contract in July 2009.

The 25-year-old has played 85 matches in all competitions for PSG, winning a total of eight trophies.
