Thoothukudi South police are on the lookout for four persons who stabbed to death a labourer on Fishing Harbour premises on Wednesday night.

The police said construction worker B. Maharajan, 20, of S.S. Pillai Market area was working in the Fishing Harbour as a labourer in the night. When he was unloading fish from a boat on Wednesday night, four persons took him to a secluded place and stabbed him.

Only when Maharajan, who sustained stab injuries, ran for some distance, others came to know about the attack and rushed him to Thoothukudi Medical College Hospital, where he died later.

During investigation, Thoothukudi South police found that four persons from Puthutheru and Terespuram picked a heated argument with Maharajan a few days ago and stabbed him to death on Wednesday night. Further investigations are on.
