HYDERABAD: Uppalapati Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju, popular as Prabhas, approached Hyderabad high court on Wednesday, urging the court to stop state authorities from taking away his plot of 2,083 square yards and a guesthouse built on it in Raidurg Panmaktha village, Serilingampally mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
Prabhas, who became a household name across India after his blockbuster ‘Bahubali’, in his plea, said the tahsildar of Serlingampally along with revenue officials entered into his property on December 17 and forcibly tried to take possession of the property. When questioned, they cited a recent Supreme Court order and asked the actor to vacate the premises and hand over the property to the authorities.
“I am not a party to such proceedings before the Supreme Court and hence I am not aware of it,” he said.
The actor added: “I resisted the ‘unlawful’ attempts of the officials and prevented them from dispossessing me from my own property.”
