Waiting for doctor’s appointment; spends cold nights on pavements, bus stops and subway

With the minimum temperature dipping steadily, Delhi urban shelter improvement board (DUSIB) has asked New Delhi municipal corporation (NDMC) to open its subway outside AIIMS at night for people who are forced to sleep in the open, so that homeless may find temporary residence in AIIMS subway. Winter gives outstation patients the harsh treatment –year after year. With just 4 shelters outside AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital, scores vie for space.
