Essex India, a property-tech start-up, has announced a ‘complete’ sales and marketing service for the property developers.
“It has become very tough for the developer to sell the inventory as issues such as Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA),and Goods and Services Tax slowing down the sales. We have developed an online-offline model to help them sell the units,” Chaitanya Reddy, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Essex India, has said.
Most of the property sites offer only listing services which offer a lower strike rate. “We talk to the developers and offer them a time-bound plan to sell a certain number of properties. We take commission from the developers, while offering the services free for buyers,” he said.
The start-up also provides home buyers with free financial and legal assistance.
The firm raised ₹3 crore from Way2online Interactive to build the team and solution. “We have about 50 employees. Besides Hyderabad, we will offer services in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata,” he said.
While the big players are able to market and sell flats, it has become very tough for the small players in selling the units.
“We help developers with the brand activation, positioning their projects, building campaigns, lead generation and lead engagement, through a mix of offline and online media,” Nirbhay Taneja, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, said.
It has so far built a community of over 5,000 brokers in the Hyderabad property market.
