The ruling TRS party leaders are bracing up to put up a great show on Thursday when the recently appointed party working president K. T. Rama Rao arrives on his maiden visit to the Warangal city.
Party leaders have been holding hectic parleys planning a grand reception to their leader in a bid to impress him ahead of the Cabinet expansion. Recently elected MLAs aspiring for a ministerial berth are viewing this as an opportunity to prove their best. A mega bike rally is being planned from outskirts of Kazipet town to Hanamkonda.
Mr. Rama Rao is coming to lay foundation stone for the buildings of party office at Jangaon and at Hanamkonda on Thursday.
Venue inspected
TRS leaders Kadiyam Srihari, MLAs D. Vinay Bhaskar, N. Narender, P. Sudarshan Reddy, T. Rajaiah and others held internal meetings several times during the past three days. They also inspected the public meeting site at Kakatiya Degree College grounds opposite Hanamkonda bus stand where Mr. Rama Rao is expected to address the party cadre.
According to grapevine, senior-most MLAs D. S. Redya Naik and Errabelli Dayakar Rao stand a good chance in the State Cabinet, while those feeling closer to both Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Mr. Rama Rao — D. Vinay Bhaskar, Aruri Ramesh and N Narender — were trying their bit to get included in the new cabinet. Mr. Kadiyam Srihari too desired to retain his position in the new government.
As the part got tremendous result in the recently held Assembly elections winning 10 out of 12 seats, party leaders expect that more from the district would get plum posts, including ministerial berths.
