Misbehaving with a woman cost a 35-year-old man his life; he was stabbed five times in outer Delhi's Aman Vihar area on Sunday.
The 32-year-old accused, identified as Subhash, a resident of Inder Enclave, allegedly stabbed the deceased identified as Rajesh alias Guddu to death on Sunday, the police said on Tuesday. Both the accused and the deceased lived in the same locality.
According to police, on Sunday, Subhash's wife went to her sister's house in the Inder Eclave area. When she was there, Rajesh allegedly misbehaved with her in the afternoon.
Later, she stated her ordeal to her husband when he returned home from work in the evening. In a fit of rage, Subhash went to Rajesh's house and a quarrel broke out between the two.
"Rajesh had allegedly misbehaved with Subhash's wife at her sister's residence. However, when the accused reached his house, the duo got into a quarrel. Subhash then stabbed him to death," said Seju Kuruvilla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer).
The accused took out a knife and stabbed the victim five times on his chest and abdomen and fled from the spot.
The victim was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital where he was declared brought dead, Kuruvilla said.
Thereafter, a murder case was registered and accused Subhash was later arrested from Inder Enclave in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, the DCP added.
