Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to sepnd Rs 2.15 crore for road repairing

The Road and Building Committee of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Monday approved a road-repairing project near 29 BRTS bus stops whose cost is estimated at Rs 2 crore.

According to the engineering department of the civic body, the stretches near the BRTS stops have been damaged.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has identified 29 bus stops where such damage was found and RCC work would begin work on these stretch soon.

In the eastern part of the city, the civic body has identified 16 damaged stops while on the western part 13 stops have been marked.

The BRTS design had earlier created controversy where fingers were pointed to the CEPT for the faulty design.

Such easily-damaged roads are also party of faulty design by the CEPT and poorly maintained by civic body alleged Dinesh Sharma, leader of opposition.
