Top BJP leaders, including city president N. Ramachander Rao, MLA T. Raja Singh, former MLA G. Kishan Reddy and others, were arrested by the city police on Tuesday morning at the party office where they had gathered to take out a protest march to the Congress Party’s local headquarters Gandhi Bhavan in Nampally.
The BJP leaders and activists wanted to hold a demonstration before the Congress office as part of the nationwide agitation against the Opposition Party demanding an ‘apology’ for carrying out a ‘misinformation campaign’ against the NDA Government on the controversial Rafale aircraft deal.
