Bhargav Chakradev settles from bronze medal

Pune: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Paranjape school’s Bhargav Chakradev had to settle for a third place finish despite sparkling displays throughout the under 16 boys table tennis singles event at the Sakal presents Mapro Schoolympics here on Tuesday.

In contention for a gold medal, Bhargav lost to eventual gold medal winner Saai Bagate of Maharashtriya Mandal school in the first semi-final before beating Kaushal Kulkarni in the third place playoff to secure bronze medal.

Saai Bagate though, was unstoppable on Tuesday, firstly beating Bhargav in the semi finals and then taming Mihir Thombre of Sevasadan School in the summit clash to clinch the Singles title in crown.

Abhinav bags doubles gold
The Abhinav Vidyalaya duo of Vedant Bramhe and Kaushal Kulkarni brought laurels to the school with a dominating win in under 16 boys doubles table tennis event on Tuesday. They convincingly beat the pair from Bishop’s Co-Ed School 11-4,7-11,11-6,14-12 to take the crown. 
Vedant and Kaushal were in perfect sync and dominated their opponents in a straight game win on Tuesday.

Third Place Match: Bhargav Chakradeo (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Paranjape School) bt Kaushal Kulkarni  (Abhinav Vidyalaya English Medium School) Points-11-7, 11-4, 11-6.
