India lost their last five wickets before lunch on the final day of the second Test as hosts Australia levelled the series 1-1 at Perth.

Chasing a tough 287 to win the match and starting the day at 112 for five, India were bowled out for 140, giving the Aussies victory by a margin of 146 runs.

Mathews, Mendis weave magic on day four against New Zealand

Angelo Mathews, unbeaten on 117, and Kusal Mendis, 116 not out, played through the entirety of day four without losing a wicket to aid Sri Lanka’s unlikely push for a draw against New Zealand in the first Test at Wellington.

Starting the day at 20 for three, Sri Lanka finished at 259 for three, still needing 37 more runs to make New Zealand bat again.

But after having played out an entire day, and with forecast of showers on the final day, Sri Lanka are now in with a chance to draw the Test match.
