THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four transgenders had darshan at Sabarimala on Tuesday morning. They came with police protection and had darshan at Sannidhanam.
They reached Pampa at 4am from Thiruvanathapuram and trekked the hill shrine accompanied by police team.

There was no protest against their entry into the Sannidhanam as the thantri and Pandalam Royal Palace authorities made it clear that there was nothing wrong in having them darshan at Sabarimala.

The four transgenders were earlier blocked by the police on Sunday at Erumeli when they went for darshan. The police have reportedly said that they will not allow them to trek the hill shrine wearing saree.

They came to Thiruvananthapuram on Monday and met DGP A Hemachandran who is the member of the High Court appointed monitoring committee. They also met IG Manoj Abraham seeking protection to have darshan at Sabarimala.

The police gave them assurance for darshan following which they reached Pampa today morning.
