tnn | Dec 18, 2018, 23:57 ISTKottayam: Various Hindu outfits will hold a ‘namajapa’ protest in the railway station here to stop the group of young women from Tamil Nadu, who are planning to get down on their way to Sabarimala. “We will welcome the 40-member women’s group with our prayer protest, said Hindu Aikya Vedi state president K P Sasikala.
Sasikala was here on Tuesday to inaugurate a meeting of the women leaders of various Hindu outfits as part of the Ayyappa Jyothi programme slated to be held from Manjeswaram to Parassala on December 26. She also expressed happiness that Kottayam was becoming the first railway station to become venue for a ‘namajapa’ protest.
The cities, villages, police stations, jails, roads, airports, etc. were sanitised by ‘namajapa’ protests. Only railway stations did not find a place among them, she said, adding that she was praying for the return of Trupti Desai in a train next time. “If she is coming back to Sabarimala by train we are ready to sanitise all the stations from Maharashtra to Chengannur with ‘namajapa’ protest,” she said. tnn
