: The BJP Tuesday slammed DMK chief M K for calling sadist for not visiting after cyclone Gaja, with the party's national H Raja saying he has behaved in an 'immature manner.'

Stalin, while speaking at a rally followed by unveiling of a bronze statue of DMK patriarch and his father late M Karunanidhi at the party headquarters in Chennai on December 16, had called Modi a "sadist", saying the did not visit after 'Gaja.'

The event had brought together key opposition parties of DMK, Congress, and CPI(M), to reaffirm their resolve to dislodge the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

Raja said Tuesday that welcoming guests at the function was another matter, but calling Modi sadist was not acceptable and had not gone well with the public.

'For the last two years, is speaking unrelated things in an immature manner,' Raja said adding that the money spent on the statue could have been donated to victims of the cyclone

Raja, known for his controversial remarks, said it was a mistake to to have invited for the function as it was under the UPA dispensation that the killings of Tamils took place in

He had courted controversy in March for making remarks indicating that statues of rationalist leader E V Ramasamy "Periyar" could be the next to be pulled down after a Lenin statue was razed in

The also said there was reported movement of Naxals in some areas in the Western Ghats and the state government should immediate action on the matter.

If need be, the state should seek the help from the Centre, he added.
