And now there are claims that his wife, Sylvia Jeffreys, is also set to depart.
Peter Ford alleged on Monday that the 32-year-old will be replaced by Tracy Vo, a presenter with Nine's Perth news team.

Tracy, 35, currently based in Perth, celebrated ten years at the network last year, having started at Channel Nine in 2007.

After proving a popular reporter with Nine News, the Vietnamese-Australian reporter spent five years in the Sydney newsroom before returning to Perth in 2012 to care for her parents.
In an interview with Nine Honey last year, Tracy referred to Sylvia as one of her closest friends from her days at Nine in Sydney.
The journalist fondly recalled, 'building really solid friendships like Sylvia Jeffreys and Amelia Adams, they're still two of my closest friends, despite being on the other side of the country'.

On Monday, Peter's departure was officially announced after weeks of speculation and denials.
A statement from Channel Nine read: 'Peter has decided to explore new opportunities and is looking forward to spending weekends with his wife.
