Imran Khan hopes US-Taliban talks end Afghan suffering

Khan's remarks come a day after US diplomats and representatives met in the for the first round of talks facilitated by Pakistan on finding a negotiated settlement for the Afghan war, Dawn news reported.

The meeting in was also attended by officials from Pakistan, and the UAE.

There were no statements from the participating parties at the end of the daylong meeting, although had officially announced the start of the talks through a tweet.
