Modi to inaugurate Metro projects in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena boycotts programmes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today inaugurate two new Metro projects in Mumbai and Pune but miffed with the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Shiv Sena has decided to boycott the functions.

Alliance partners of the BJP in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena ministers and legislators will not attend PM Modi's function in Kalyan and Pune. The Shiv Sena feels that the BJP is solely taking credit for the development works. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has also not been invited for the programmes.

The prime minister will be the laying foundation stone of Metro 5 and Metro 9 in Kalyan and for the third line of the Pune Metro rail project at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports complex in Balewadi.

Two days prior to the PM's visit, the Shiv Sena laid the foundation stone of the Coastal Road project but did not invite anyone from the BJP.
