Criminal on the run for 12 years nabbed in Panigate

The accused (seated) in custodyVadodara: Following specific information, the detection of crime branch (DCB) nabbed a man who was on the run in an attempt to murder case for the last 12 years.
Salim Sheikh, 42, was caught from Panigate on Tuesday and cops also recovered a country-made pistol and 69 live cartridges from him.
Sheikh was booked in an attempt to murder case in 2006 after he assaulted a man in Tandalja. He was also arrested by the Makarpura police six times for attacking people.
“We are trying to find out the reasons behind Sheikh keeping a weapon and so many cartridges. He will also be questioned about the place from where he got the firearms,” the police said.tnn
