CM inaugurates housing units

Coimbatore: Chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurated a housing unit built by the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board (TNSCB) at Ukkadam through videoconference from Chennai on Monday.

The first phase of the housing unit, built at a cost of Rs 80.5crore, has 1,392 houses. The second phase, built at a cost of Rs 13.8crore, has 448 houses. The ground plus three floor housing unit has paved roads, streetlights, drainage facilities, drinking water as well as a children’s park, a statement from the district administration said.


Palaniswami also inaugurated a housing unit of TNSCB at Thiru Vi Ka Nagar at Madukkarai, which was built at an outlay of Rs 28.5crore and another unit built by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board at a cost of Rs 60crore. TNN
