Today in History: Saturn's moon Epimetheus was discovered by Richard L. Walker in 1966

Epimetheus is an inner satellite of Saturn. It is also known as Saturn XI. It is named after the mythological Epimetheus, brother of Prometheus. On December 18, 1966, Richard Walker made an observation which is now credited as the discovery of Epimetheus. Audouin Dollfus discovered a moon on 15 December 1966, which he proposed to be named "Janus". A moon that was probably Epimetheus appeared in two Pioneer 11 images and was designated 1979S1.
