Centre gives approval for setting up AIIMS in Madurai

CHENNAI: The Centre has given its approval for setting up AIIMS (All India Institutes of Medical Sciences) in Madurai.
Union defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted on Monday thanking Prime minister Narendra Modi and the Union cabinet for giving approval for AIIMS in Madurai.
The hospital will be established at Thoppur near Madurai.
