Murder outside jail: Accused in police net

Representative imageAMBALA: Superintendent of Police Astha Modi said that the district police teams have arrested the accused Rajesh-resident of Chiri village in Rohtak district along with his vehicle- in connection with the murder of Varun Sharma, a resident Navneet Nagar in Ambala City.
Varun was murdered by the accused, who used to work with him in the jail bakery, outside the Central Jail on December 13, 2018. The cops said the accused had confessed the crime stating that Varun was producing wrong bills at work due to which the bakery contractors were facing losses. While discussing the matter outside the jail premises, both had an heated argument in which Rajesh opened fire at Varun. The accused will be presented before court tomorrow.
