Tiberan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama, Sunday arrived in Bodh Gaya where he will stay for 23 days in a Tibetan monastery.
He will visit Mahabodhi temple on Monday morning to offer prayers, Singh said.
A large crowd was waiting on both sides of the road to get a glimpse of the Nobel Peace Prize winner, he added.
Earlier, on his arrival at Gaya aiport, senior officials, including Magadh divisional commissioner T Bindeshwari, Magadh range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Binay Kumar, District Magistrate Abhishek Kumar Singh, Senior SP Rajiv Mishra, BTMC secretary N Dorje and Airport director Dilip Kumar welcomed him.
