Dominant Abhishek scales wrestling gold medal

Pune: Priyadarshini Vidya Mandir’s Abhishek Shilimkar dominated his opponent in the final to win under 16 wrestling event at Sakal presents Mapro Schoolympics on Sunday. In the final played at Sahyadri Krida Sankul in Warje, Abhishek brushed aside his opponent by the virtue of 7-2 scoreline.

In the bout fought in below 50kg category, Priyadarshini Vidya Mandir’s Abhishek dominated the proceedings against Chandrahar Narale of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Vidya Mandir from the start and didn’t give a sniff in a one-sided contest.

Trying to be the aggressor from the the start, Abhishek collected points as he pushed Tejas out of bounds on multiple ocassions as he tried to outwit him in scoring positions.
