Tej Pratap challenges BJP in upcoming general election

PATNA: RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav on Sunday challenged the BJP saying he was ready to fight the communal forces in the upcoming general elections.

Tej Pratap turned up at the party office after a break where he was seen in an active political mood.

The leader extended his support to his younger brother and leader of opposition in the state assembly Tejashwi Yadav saying Arjun cannot go in the battle without Krishna and Krishna was incomplete without Arjun. It is to be noted that in an opposition rally named ‘BJP bhagao desh bachao’ organised by the RJD at Gandhi Maidan in 2017, Tej had called himself Krishna and his brother as Arjun.

Tej Pratap said he had come with ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ from Vrindavan which he will be using to destroy the enemies. He said his fight was with BJP and RSS and he was ready to defeat them in the upcoming general election. He also said he would call for a youth rally along with his brother and would invite Congress national president Rahul Gandhi. However, he did not announce the date of the rally.

He further said he would stress on youth getting more tickets from his party. However, he avoided any questions related to his family dispute and divorce saying the matter was in court. He said he has demanded for a separate bungalow so that he could concentrate on his political activities indicating he was not going to return to his home which he had left after filing a petition in the civil court in Patna seeking divorce from his wife Aishwarya Rai.

A day before, he met his mother and former state chief minister Rabri Devi at a relative’s wedding in Patna. Though his younger brother and father-in-law Chandrika Rai were also present, he had no conversation with them.
