Street Seen: producer and vocalist Eliza Jacobs favours modern boho
ELIZA JACOBS
I AM IN Swanston Street, city
I AM a producer and vocalist.
I AM WEARING a fedora that I think is Will and Bear and I got online from Iconic. My dress is a black maxi and is from Free the People and again I bought it online, I'm a bit of an online shopper. My ring is Made in Earth and I bought it in Acland Street, St Kilda, and my shoes are just a gladiator-style sandal that I got from Wittner.
MY STYLE IS modern boho.
I ADMIRE THE STYLE OF… Alison Goldfrapp, she is a singer from England. Even though I don't have the same style as her, I like that she is so creative and does really interesting, edgy stuff.
MY FAVOURITE PLACES TO SHOP are in Byron Bay but there's a lot in Queensland generally that I really like. Otherwise, I really like all of the Australian designers with shops in Flinders Lane.
MY BIGGEST FASHION MISTAKE WAS wearing leather and animal products. I don't buy them any more but I do regret wearing pieces that hurt animals. I also feel weird about throwing them out because I like to recycle, but I try not to buy anything like that any more. I try to be more ethical.
WHEN I WAS A KID I WORE a lot of dresses. My mum had a lot of dresses made for me. They were in a cotton fabric and had heaps of gathered stitching across the top. I wore a lot of that kind of thing.
I WOULD NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN anything '80s. No.
