Independent MLA from Wyra Assembly constituency L. Ramulu Naik formally joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the presence of its working president K.T.Rama Rao on Saturday.
Addressing the party workers from Wyra constituency, Mr. Rama Rao said it was a happy occasion that first MLA to join the party from outside hailed from Wyra. He promised to pay special attention to Wyra constituency.
He referred to the dismal performance of the TRS in old Khammam district where it won only one seat. “The Khammam results disappointed us,” he said and added that hardwork in the coming days will ensure that the party will win the next elections.
Mr. Rama Rao said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s dream was to make Telangana prosperous by ensuring completion of ongoing irrigation projects.
He hoped that once the Mission Bhagiratha and irrigation projects were completed TRS would emerge as a invincible political force. Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy was instrumental in persuading the independent MLA.
