Delays for commuters heading home

Commuters leaving work this evening may experience delays as the rain and thunderstorm continues to hit the city.

Airlines have cancelled or delayed 30 domestic flights as the rain and thunderstorms.

Mathematics teacher Eddie Woo was delayed for 40 minutes upon landing in Sydney.

A limited number of buses are replacing trains between Hornsby and Gosford on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line due to urgent power supply repairs caused by the weather.

One lane on the Sydney Harbour Bridge is closed in both directions following a car crash on the bridge. NSW Transport are urging motorists to ensure they allow plenty of travel time.
