Woman ends life with 4-yr-old son
TNN | Dec 15, 2018, 03:43 ISTYavatmal: A 29-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping in to a farm well along with her 4-year-old son and minor daughter in Pahapal village under jurisdiction of Pandharkawda police station on Friday morning. The son died while the daughter was rescued.
According to the investigating officer PSI Ravi Wahule, the woman’s father, Narayan Mandade of Doldongargaon village under Maregaon police station limit, alleging that his daughter Meena Chatade was being harassed by her husband Sandeep who she married in 2012 and her in-laws for dowry. The Pandharkawda police have registered an offence against Sandeep and his parents under sections 498 (A), 306 and 34 of IPC. No arrest was made so far, PSI Wahule said.
It is learnt, the farm owner saw Meena taking the plunge into the well. The farm owner managed to save the daughter who has been admitted at Maregaon rural hospital. The police conducted panchnama and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
