Innumerable rounds of counting and a close fight were what ensued after the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018. Even though the results from other states had trickled in earlier during December 11th, nothing could be predicted for MP. Shivraj Singh Chouhan eventually lost as Congress emerged as the single largest party in the State. With the BJP defeated in the Hindi heartland of India, the Road to 2019 will be an interesting one. Now the wait begins to see who between Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia gets the post of chief minister. The new CM, after years of BJP rule, will sure have to prove his mettle.
