9 killed in Turkey train accident

At least nine people were killed and 47 injured on Thursday when a high-speed train collided with a locomotive in Turkey's capital city of Ankara, according to authorities.

The accident occurred at around 6.30 a.m. at the Marsandiz railway station, around 8 km from Ankara's main station, the reported.

Images from the scene showed emergency services working to rescue people from badly damaged carriages.
