RAJKOT: An absconding accused, wanted for the murder of the son of former chief minister Keshubhai Patel’s brother-in-law in Moti Kukawav village of Vadia taluka in Amreli district, four years ago, was nabbed from Madhya Pradesh (MP) on Wednesday.

A team of Amreli local crime branch (LCB) officials arrested Rajen Meda alias Rajesh (24) from his native in Ambawa village of Alirajpur taluka in MP.

“Meda had allegedly strangled Prakash Asodaria alias Babu, a resident of Moti Kukawav, to death and dumped his body in a well. While Meda’s co-accused was arrested from the spot after the crime, Meda had fled,” said D K Vaghela, sub-inspector of Amreli LCB.

The murder was the result of a financial dispute between Asodaria and Meda.
