Jarman-Japan gang’s six members arrested
tnn | Dec 14, 2018, 00:57 ISTNagpur: Mankapur police have arrested six members of Jarman (German)-Japan gang following their attempt to usurp a piece of property at Somkuwar society on Mankapur Ring road on Thursday. City police had last year invoked stringent Maharashtra control of organized crime Act (MCOCA) against the gang last year.
Police said kin of former gangsters Jerman and Japan, identified as Mustaq Khan, Mohd Afsar, Afsar Khan, Azhar Khan, Raja Khan and Javed Abdul Wahab, were taken into custody after they were caught from a construction site where they were engaged in ransacking disputing the possession of the property.
Complainant Mehmood Khan has claimed to have purchased the property in 2006 following which he had started construction at the site in 2014. The gang members forcibly entered the place claiming to own the place and also damaged the under-going construction activities. The cops were summoned at the place who took the gang members into custody. Social worker Sunita Thakre helped victim to register the offence.
