A driver was arrested after a multi-vehicle crash which shut a major road for more than three hours.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the A548 Coast Road near Mostyn Docks in Flintshire at around 3.30pm.
The collision involved a red Renault Clio, a Citroen car, and a Ford Transit Connect van.
A male was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
Police said a woman was also taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, however her condition is not known.

A traffic light was also knocked down during the collision.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision at 3.35pm and a road closure was put in place at 4.15pm. It involved three vehicles. A male has been taken into custody on suspicion of drink-driving and making off from the scene of a collision."
One fire engine from Rhyl was sent to the scene but there were no reports of any motorists being trapped.
Firefighters made the vehicles electrically safe.
