Vadodara: Investigations into the murder of a man at a beauty parlour in Lunawada in Mahisagar district have revealed that the victim was killed by his paramour as he was trying to compel her to continue their affair which the accused beautician wanted to end.
Anshumansinh Kaliravna (21) was found murdered in the Divya Beauty Parlour on Wardhari Road in Lunawada on Wednesday afternoon. Ankita Patel, (29) who used to operate the parlour had initially tried to mislead the police by telling them that Kaliravna had come to her parlour bleeding.
Patel had claimed that when she was unable to manage the situation, she had called a 108 ambulance. But by the time the ambulance reached the place, Kaliravna had died.
Patel’s preliminary interrogation revealed that she had stabbed Kaliravna with a knife and then called the emergency services. Patel, who is married, also disclosed that she was earlier having an affair with Kaliravna who was working as a labourer in Balasinor.
According to the police, Patel’s family had come to know about the affair and she wanted to end it. She even deleted his number from her phone. Enraged by her behaviour, Kaliravna had come to the parlour in an inebriated condition and picked up an argument with Patel.
During the arguments, Patel brought out a knife she had kept in the parlour and stabbed Kaliravna. She then hid the knife in an open shop near her beauty parlour. The police recovered the knife Thursday.
