Bengaluru: Man molests minor daughter under guise of sex education

Representative imageBENGALURU: A 52 -year-old autorickshaw driver has been booked for sexually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter on the pretext of imparting sex education to her. He is at large.
Police said the accused, father of five girls, abused his second daughter for two years. The issue came to light only when the girl opened up to her mother recently.
“You are a girl and you must learn all these things which will be helpful for you when you get married,” the man allegedly told his daughter, a class 9 student.
When she raised an objection, he threatened to kill her. The girl decided to reveal her ordeal when he started harassing her daily. She warned him on November 16 and when he did not stop, she told her mother on November 23. The mother caught him red-handed the same day, but he managed to escape from the house in north Bengaluru.
Basavanagudi police have registered a case against him under the Pocso Act and IPC sections.
