Laura Kowalchik Named Kenwal Steel Corp. Chief Financial Officer
Kowalchik Brings Global Automotive, Industrial Finance Leadership to Kenwal; Replaces Frank Jerneycic, Who Retires After 10-Year Tenure

DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --Â Kenwal Steel Corp. announced that Laura Kowalchik has been named CFO effective December 11, 2018. Kowalchik replaces Frank Jerneycic, who retires from Kenwal at the end of this year after 10 years of service with the leading North American, full-service, flat rolled steel service center. The announcement was made by Kenneth Eisenberg, Chairman of Kenwal Steel Corp. and Stephen Eisenberg, President of Kenwal's Burns Harbor, Ind. location.
Kowalchik, 49, brings deep global automotive and industrial finance, and accounting leadership to Kenwal. She most recently served as CFO of Urban Science, a Detroit-based global automotive retail consultancy. She previously served as vice president, corporate controller, and chief accounting officer of Ann Arbor-based bearing supplier, Kaydon Corp., and Dura Automotive Systems LLC in Auburn Hills, where she held the same title.

Kowalchik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Richmond's Robins School of Business, Richmond, Va., and an MBA in finance from Indiana University South Bend. She is a CPA in Virginia.
