Google Could Be Collecting Your Data: How To Protect Your Privacy

Well, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has been in the hot seat as of late, testifying in front of the House Judiciary Committee.??Fox Business has some tips on how you can take steps to not have your data stored based on some of Pichai’s comments during the hearing.??For example, when you set up your gmail account, Google asks for information, including your name, age, and address.??Unless your search history is turned off, this data will be stored.??CNBC also recommends turning off web and app activity tracking to prevent Google from storing precise, time-stamped location data.??

Is Google reading your emails???Well, Pichai said all email data is stored but the company itself does not have access to emails.

Under certain circumstances, and with express consent, the company can read them.

??Does your data actually ever delete???Pichai says that it does, but it may take time before it disappears.??He did say that privacy is a work in progress and expectations are constantly evolving.??Customers have varying needs.

For example, some people want search history available on their browser but don’t want YouTube data stored.??????
