Michelle Obama's memoir shoots up sales, sets record

Because of this, Michelle Obama's fans and readers of her memoir, Becoming, will be able to meet her in person on her book tour, which is being extended into 2019.
According to Crown Publishing, sales of the book, published four weeks ago, have now topped as high as 3 million.
Even before it's publication, it became a worldwide bestseller and just one week after its publication, 1.4 million copies in print and digital formats in the USA and Canada were been sold.
Becoming is now among the best-selling political memoirs of all time, and one of the fastest-selling nonfiction books in history. This has, in fact, made Michelle Obama the first-ever black first lady in a new record book.
Obama will have 21 events next year, with six of them in Europe, announced Live Nation and Crown Publishing.
According to USA Today, Michelle Obama has been selling out stadiums on her tour, and has appeared at such arenas as New York City's Barclays Center and Chicago's United Center, with guest interviewers including Reese Witherspoon and Oprah Winfrey.
Last week, Obama at the Southbank Centre in London with eminent writer and feminist Chimamanda Ngozi. Afterwards, she met the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle for a private chat backstage.
Michelle Obama's global book tour is now scheduled to end May 12, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee.
