An investigation has been launched after the ashes of two men were stolen from a Queensland crematorium.
The office of the Warrill Park Lawn Cemetery in Willowbank, near Brisbane, was ransacked about 3.30am on Wednesday and two containers were stolen.
Managing director Stephen Beer told the Daily Mail he had no idea why anyone would take the ashes.

He said he was 'totally shocked' when he got the early morning call about the break in.
'We can't understand why they would want to do that.
'It's very distressing for the families and our staff are very upset by it.'
The ashes were stored in containers were made of plastic, about the size of a shoe box and had name plates taped to the top.
Police are appealing for the safe return of the ashes and are urging anyone with further information as to their whereabouts to come forward.
